Photography is a wonderful artform – the right photograph can inspire a work of art. I enjoy the process of turning a photograph into a unique art piece.

Translating sentimental photography into painted form is like turning a play into a musical!

I feel inspired by both humans and, really, any other animal; particularly their eyes. Beyond creating likeness I hope for the final product to come alive. It takes many hours of concentration and careful adjustment to get to this point.

A soul can be celebrated and honored through artistic rendering. Portraiture has enriched my sense of self, and I especially enjoy working with pets as subjects.

Over the years, I’ve had the honor of memorializing meaningful moments in time. In my portraits, the subject is placed in a setting that communicates what is important to that soul.
